How to Install Linx CGM Sensor Step by Step in Egypt (Complete Setup Guide)
If you recently purchased the Linx Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), this step-by-step guide will help you install the sensor correctly, connect it to the Linx app, and start monitoring your blood sugar levels in real time — without finger pricks.

Step 1 – Download the Linx CGM App
Search for “Linx CGM” in:
- Google Play Store
- Apple App Store
Download and open the app on your smartphone.
Step 2 – Create Your Account
To activate your CGM device:
- Enter your email address
- Press "Send Verification code" You will get a verification on your mail
- Enter the Verification code
- Create a secure password (minimum 8 characters), Include uppercase and lowercase letters, Include numbers
- Agree to the Terms of Service
Step 3 – Configure the App Settings
After login:
Choose Measurement Unit
Select:
- mg/dL (commonly used in Egypt)
- mmol/L
Enable Required Permissions
Allow Bluetooth and notifications.
Set Your Target Glucose Range
Set your high and low glucose alerts according to your doctor’s advice.
Step 4 – Best Place to Install the Linx CGM Sensor
Recommended areas:
- Back of upper arm
- Abdomen (side of navel)
Make sure the area is:
- Clean, Dry.
- Free from scars or irritation.
- Slightly fatty for better stability.

Avoid areas with boils, or skin infections at the application site.
Step 5 – How to Clean the Skin Properly
Use:
- ✔ Clean the skin with Pure medical alcohol only 70%
- ✔ Let the skin air dry completely before placing the sensor.
Avoid:
- ❌ Perfumes
- ❌ Hand sanitizers
- ❌ Wet wipes
Proper disinfection improves sensor adhesion and accuracy.
Step 6 – How to Apply the Sensor
- Place applicator gently on skin
- Press the white button
- Wait 10 seconds
- Remove applicator carefully
The sensor is now active.
Step 7 – Pair the Sensor with the App
- Open Linx app
- Click pairing icon
- Select sensor serial number
- Wait 60-minute warm-up
After 60 minutes, glucose readings will appear.
